A few notes on the site
 

This site is independent and not sponsored by any aspect of the music industry
 

The ranking are based on a weekly analysis where each week is treated in isolation as a specific ‘competition’ with an emphasis (though not exclusively) on sales.
 

Where two artists or more are credited on a track the points are split accordingly
 

If an artist performs only as part of a duo then they are listed as that duo unless/until they have point scoring solo track then they are listed separately for that year /until they again only appear as a duo.

The case of compilation albums they do not count towards any points totals as these points would be negligible given the split distribution of points.

…….Likewise soundtrack albums will only count if the tracks are split between six artists or less.
